Feminist Film Festival
LT

Hungry Eyes is collaborating with @filma.fest ! On the 30th of November we'll be screening six short films in our space. The event will be taking place from 1pm to 5pm, the entrance is free!
Filma.Feminist Film Festival was created in Ukraine by a feminist collective as a collaborative platform for films that meet the principles of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, inclusion, and a culture of consent. We aim to create a space free of misogyny, transphobia, racism, heterosexism, ableism, and other forms of oppression. A space where it is possible to find points of intersection between the needs of all vulnerable groups, mutual understanding, and support.
This year’s programs of the festival are:
“Cripping, Living, Loving” presents a view of Disabled, Deaf, chronically ill, Neurodivergent, and/or Mad life that is rarely seen, yet vital. Showing that their experiences are vast, layered, and beautiful;
“Taking Care of Yourself, Taking Care of Everyone” foregrounding trans* and lesbian stories that rarely enter the spotlight in cinema, even though they form an important part of the global fight against HIV/AIDS;
“Changing the Things One Can Not Accept” with films that demonstrate how pathways toward radically different and equitable futures can be found through activism.
